It’s hard to believe Jana Kramer has been on our Top 100 Sexiest Women List since a time when there were literally, only two photographs of her available on the Internet, but it’s true- it was in the background of the Adam Sandler movie Click, where we first noticed Jana Kramer. Not that we deserve any credit, but we do like to think that Jana making our list back in 2008 (What can we say? Click was a rental) as well as the two ensuing years, sure didn’t hurt her notoriety at all. Here we are now, seven movies and three hit TV shows later, and Kramer’s making her fifth consecutive appearance on our annual compendium of the hottest. And even though Jana’s run on One Tree Hill ended on January 18th, 2012, it was the same exact day that her hit single “Why You Wanna” became the single most added song to the playlists of Country Radio by a debut artist, since the inception of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart- so it’s clear she isn’t going anywhere soon. For us, suffice it to say, we’re just as in love with this budding country music star’s radiant skin and chocolate brown eyes today, as much as we were when she was back then.

Jana Kramer country newcomer is close to adding “Grand Ole Opry performer” to her list of accomplishments when she takes the legendary stage for the first time on April 13th.
“Singing at the Opry is going to be the greatest honor, as well as a childhood dream come true. Every artist I have idolized has performed there. To know that I’ll be singing on the same stage where they stood assures the fact that I am living a dream right now. I’m going to take in every single second of it!,” gushes Kramer.
Kramer is currently in the studio finishing her debut album with producer Scott Hendricks.

Jana Kramer was a delight and a half to meet! She sat down with us during CRS 2012 and told us what it was like growing up in Michigan, how her music got it’s start working on One Tree Hill, acting vs singing, and she also talks about the pain behind her song “Why Ya Wanna.”

If you ask Jana Kramer to describe her life in this very moment she would say, “Dreams really do come true.” The singer/songwriter/actress has already had success with three songs that were featured on The CW’s One Tree Hill, where she plays the firecracker actress, Alex Dupre. Kramer also debuted a fourth song on One Tree Hill in mid-January.

Growing up in Michigan, Kramer is no stranger to the rich history of Country music, crediting one of her favorite memories to baking cookies with her grandmother while listening to Patsy Cline. These little moments are one of the many reasons why Kramer hopes to share her music with others.

Kramer recently released her first official debut single “Why Ya Wanna,” which debuted with a record-breaking 55 radio adds. Kramer says the song is something everyone can relate to. “When I first heard the song, I was hooked immediately. It was literally everything I was going through and more, so it meant a lot to record a personal song that became my first single.” Kramer added, “I have to thank country radio for believing in me. I’m beyond humbled and excited for this amazing start to my music career.”

‘One Tree Hill’ actress and country music artist Jana Kramer will play the lead role in “Heart of the Country” the Bayridge Films production that will be filming in Southeastern North Carolina in March, director John Ward confirmed Tuesday.

Kramer played the role of Alex Dupre on ‘One Tree Hill,’ which is airing its final season this year. She had a role in the 2006 Adam Sandler film, “Click,” and is listed in the cast for “The Gatekeeper,” a horror film starring Ron Perlman and Lea Thompson and projected for a 2013 release. Kramer is also making a name for herself in country music. Her single, “Why Ya Wanna” is No. 35 on the Billboard country chart.

Kramer will play Faith, a woman from North Carolina whose show-biz dreams have been derailed in New York by her husband, a white-collar criminal who ends up in prison. She returns home to her family, which she has distanced herself from in the big city. “Major Dad” Gerald McRaney will play her father.

Hometown girl, Jana Kramer talks about her nerves and performing in her hometown with all her friends and family in attendance. Jana was on the CW’s One Tree Hill for a couple of years and Grunwald asks her if there is anymore tv in her future.
